IQCS Supports National Training Week 2024

IQCS answers the call to provide two half day training seminar on 24th and 25th June 2024 on the topic of “Effective Environmental Risk management to support the ESG framework” in conjunction with the National Training Week organised by Human Resource Development Corporation, an agency under the Ministry of Human Resource Malaysia.

In today’s global landscape, stakeholders, including consumers, employees, and investors, demand transparency and responsibility, on how organisations’ addresses the impacts their operations and business activities on society and the environment. ESG integration has become essential for continued survival and competitiveness in the global market.

The seminars provide an overview and some insights on how environmental risk management as an effective tool under ISO 14001: 2015, helps organisation mitigate risks, improve operational efficiency, and meet regulatory requirements in the context of ESG

The first seminar conducted at ViTrox Academy saw a full house with 35 participants from various industries keen to learn about environmental management and ESG. The participants’ attention was fully engaged by the interesting presentations during the seminar, but they were particularly active during the workshops on carbon footprint calculation and the FMEA based Environmental Risk Assessment and Management – the STRUCTURED approach.

  

The second seminar on 25th June was conducted at PICCA Convention Centre @ Butterworth Arena. Once again, the seminar drew a diverse group of participants from various industries, including PCB & wire harness assembly, automotive assembly, garment manufacturing, industrial equipment fabrication, metal fabrication, engineering, education etc. industrial equipment fabrication, metal fabrication, engineering, education etc.

    

At the end of the second seminar, the representative of HRD Corp, the organiser of the National Training Week 2024, presented a token of appreciation to the trainers for the successful seminars.
